Second Semester Students Selected

Robert C Byrd High School proudly announces their Boys and Girls of the Month for the second semester.


Chosen as January’s representative, Andrew Davis is the son of Shawna and Phil Davis of Clarksburg. While in high school Andrew has been on the Tennis Team, leads his peers as Senior Class President, and serves as Drum Captain of the Marching Band. A member of the National Honor Society, Andrew plans to attend college in the fall to study biology and chemistry and intends to pursue a career in medicine.



Girl of the Month for January is Tamira Singleton; she is the daughter of Wilbur, Jr. and Nicole Singleton of Clarksburg.

Tamira has been very involved throughout high school. She serves as SADD president, Student Body Secretary, Sound Crew Chief for the theatre program, and Thespians Historian. A member of the National Honor Society, Tamira is Dance Captain of the Show Choir, and a founding member of the Young Progressive Women’s Association.

She plans to attend Tulane University to study forensic anthropology.


Boy of the Month for February is Alex Hawkins, the son of Jim and Gwen Hawkins of Clarksburg. An avid golfer and outstanding athlete, Alex is a four-year member of the Golf Team. He participated three times in the State Tournament and was named to the First Team All-State both his junior and senior years. A four-year member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and an inductee into the National Honor Society, Alex also serves in the sound room for the Nutter Fort Baptist Church.

While his college plans are yet undecided, he is considering pursuing a degree in business.




Named Girl of the Month for February is Katie Brackman. She is the daughter of Sherry and Cliff Brackman of Clarksburg.

In addition to academics, athletics, and service to others, Katie is an artist and an avid dancer. She not only takes classes herself, but she also serves as a class assistant at Altered Productions Institute. For her artwork, Katie received Best-In-Show at the Harrison County Art Show.

A member of the National Honor Society, Katie plans to attend college in the fall.








March Boy of the Month is Patrick Fubio, the son of Rich and Christy Fubio of Clarksburg.

An athlete as well as an academician, Patrick is a four-year member of the Swim Team where he currently serves as captain. He has participated in Boys’ Soccer and Key Club. He has also been an active member of the Nutter Fort Golden Eagles 4-H Club.

Patrick plans to attend college in the fall to study biology and continue his swimming career.









Girl of the Month for March is Aliza Allman; she is the daughter of Michelle and Jason Allman of Clarksburg.

While in high school, Aliza has been a valuable member of the Cross Country Team, the Show Choir crew, the Thespians, and the Junior Humane Society. She plans to attend WVU next fall to study Political Science.







Boy of the Month for April is Timothy Murphy; he is the son of Robert and Tiffani Murphy of Clarksburg.

While in high school, Timothy has devoted time to playing both Soccer and Tennis. The remainder of time he uses in his church and community. A member of the Duff Street United Methodist Church, Timothy participates on the Worship Team and in the Youth Group. He also is a member of the Clarksburg Baptist Youth Group as well as Young Life.

Preparing for a career in the ministry, Timothy interns as the Duff St. UMC. He plans to attend college in the fall.





Girl of the Month for April is Rebekah Williams; she is the daughter of Ron and Lisa Williams of Clarksburg.

While in high school, Rebekah has been active in a variety of activities. As a scholar, she excels in her advanced classes; as an athlete, she excels on the Girls’ Soccer Team, and musically, she excels in the Show Choir where she displays leadership as President and Vocal Captain. A member of the National Honor Society and Young Life, she also serves as a member of the Student Council.

Rebekah plans to attend WVU in the fall to study forensic science.





Boy of the Month for May is Max Brager; he is the son of Paul and Laurie Brager of Clarksburg.

Throughout high school, Max has been very involved. He is a four-year member of the Cross Country Team, serves as Senior Class vice President, and is active in the Junior Humane Society. A member of the Mayor’s Youth Council and the National Honor Society, Max is also a performer with the Vocal Intensity Show Choir and in school theatrical productions. He also works behind the scenes with the Thespian Troupe Crew.

Max plans to attend college in the fall to study Chemistry.





May Girl of the Month is Kolby Williams, the daughter of Chris and Aimee Williams of Clarksburg.

Active within the school and community, Kolby is a member of the RCB Show Choir, the National Honor Society, and the Student Council. She is also the founder of Look for a Book, a program encouraging children to “discover” books hidden just for them.

A member of the Clarksburg Baptist Church, Kolby plans to attend WVU to become an Oncology Nurse.
