The administration of Robert C. Byrd High School recently announced the Students of the Month for March, April, and May.
Student of the Month for March, Zachary McGary is the son of Brandy and Clifford McGary of Clarksburg. Throughout high school, he has been actively involved in Track, Cross Country, and Upward Bound. A Boy Scout, Zach has also completed a number of community service projects. He plans to attend WVU to become an anesthesiologist.
Student of the Month for March, Minah Moine is the daughter of Tiffany and Brian Moine of
Clarksburg. While in high school, Minah has been a member of the Jazz Band, Student Council, and the National Honor Society. A competitor in CrossFit and Weightlifting, Minah is also a member of the Young Progressive Women Association and 4-H. She plans to attend WVU to study exercise physiology with the goal of becoming a physician.
Student of the Month for April, Jonah Fowler is the son of Scott Fowler and the late Angie Fowler of Clarksburg. An honor roll student, he is a 4-year member of the JROTC achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant and a two-year member of the football team. He also lettered in track and represented his team at the State Track Meet. Selected as Student of the Semester in the school of carpentry at the United Technical Center, he is active in his church youth group and completed his first mission trip to Haiti with the organization Friends of Fort Liberte'. Jonah plans to enter the work force as a carpenter following graduation.
Student of the Month for April, Sophia Dolan is the daughter of Jonathon and Gynger Dolan
of Clarksburg. Throughout high school, Sophia has been involved with the Vocal Intensity Show Choir and the Marching Band Danceline where she serves as captain. A member of the Student Council and the National Honor Society, Sophia represents her class as vice-president and her school as the Eagle Mascot. She plans to attend Fairmont State University in the fall to study elementary education.
Named Student of the Month for May, Aidan Morris is the son of Brad and Lacie Morris of Clarksburg. While in high school, he has been an active member of the football team and an honor roll student. He plans to attend a trade school to become an electrician.
Student of the Month for May, Kira Judd is the daughter of Penelope and Richard Judd of
Clarksburg. While in high school, she has served as President of the Junior Humane Society and a member of the Eagle Cabinet. Kira plans to attend WVU to pursue a degree in Secondary Education.
