As the school year seems to fly by, it is a vital time for senior students to keep with the the senior news with graduation drawing near. Students should check their calendars that were given at the beginning of the school year, or keep up with the Schoology group--senior activities. Both sources give adequate timelines for activities, banquets and deadlines for orders. The most important order a senior needs to commit to is buying the “cap and gown” set from Jostens. If senior students have yet to do that, it is important that they do so before it is too late for graduation. The price was $30 dollars Christmas but now it costs $50 for the set. Merchandise for the class of 2022 can also be purchased from Jostens, and students even have the availability of buying the class of 2022 merchandise in a bundle deal with their cap and gown. The cap and gown is extremely important and the 2022 merchandise is a fun perk to commemorate your high school experience.
Aside from the many "business" aspects of senior year, a fun thing for seniors is voting on a senior motto, song, and shirt design that symbolizes their year. For the Class of 2022, the song is "I'll Always Remember You (Hanna Montana), the motto is "The Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with One Step", and the shirt is a fun design that has the iconic Nirvana smiley face and lettering that says "seniors". The motto, song, and shirt were all ideas that students were able to submit, and then everyone had the opportunity to vote on
Senior year can be stressful for many students. They anticipate embarking on the next moments in their life and embracing the adulthood that is inevitably coming their way. Making the most out of the last year of high school allows students not only to take in the last glorious moments of their high school experience but make memories with peers of their graduating class. Getting involved with the movie nights, picnics and senior get-togethers not only enables students to keep up with the senior news but also allows them to
Overcoming fear is something many seniors have to do. Being fearful is commonly inevitable as seniors approach the next steps in their life. Whether seniors decide to reach for higher education, pursue a career in the military or simply go out in the world and start their life, all seniors will have to fend for themselves in the pool of adulthood. This is the time for seniors to decide on what pathway they will take for the future and sometimes the pathways will lead to uncertainty. This is a seniors time to embark on change and chase the fear they are truly destined to chase.
