The Administration of Robert C. Byrd High School announces Mr. and Miss Eagle 2020. The title is the greatest honor a member of the graduating class can receive, as the selection process is completed by both the faculty and the seniors. The two selected epitomize the model RCB student based on character and involvement in the school and community

Mr. Eagle is Matthew Howe the son of Paul and Amy Howe; named Miss Eagle is Adelle Thrush the daughter of Parke and Lisa Thrush.

Adelle commented, “I am so honored to have been chosen as Miss Eagle! My four years at Byrd, from football games to English classes to social distancing field lightings, have shown me the true strength, resilience, and pride that it takes to be a Flying Eagle. With the current circumstances, it makes it even more special to represent the school that has shaped me into who I am today, and I hope to do the title justice!”

Matthew remarked, “It's wonderful to represent the student community here at Byrd. Being involved in sports, music, and upper-level classes have trained the student body and mind for success, and Byrd soars above the competition.”

Congratulations Adelle and Matthew!
