The Robert C. Byrd Cross Country runners have excelled so far this season. With having a small but mighty team, they surely haven't disappointed. Chad Feathers is returning as head coach, having guided the team for several years. The team consists of 6 female runners and 3 male runners. They started the season by running the Autumn Classic, which is held at St. Marys, WV. Junior Aliza Allman and Sophomore Luke Robinson took top spots for our team.
Cross country requires a great deal of training to be able to endure long courses. They run 6-10 miles each practice to stay in-shape and build their endurance. The team has has completed 6 meets and had great times. They will run 3 more meets before running the Region II, which is held Davis and Elkins College. Good Luck to our runners!
