You're new at a school and you would like an easy and fun way to makes friends. One way to do this would be to join a school club. There are many types of clubs in schools for all of your interests. Why do people join clubs? What do they get out of them? Some people might get into clubs to meet new people and make friends who have the same interests. Maybe they would like to get more involved in their school. Another possibility is, maybe they would they join because it sounds fun.
If you asked someone why they joined a club, what would they say? RCB Sophomore Kristen McCabe answered, "I joined Student Council to get more well-rounded and help out in the community and to experience new things." Sophomore Kaylee Wolford commented, "I thought it would be nice to be more involved in school related activities." So whatever the reason, there is no doubting that clubs are a fun resource in community service and a great way to socialize and make new friends. Clubs provide access to many interesting opportunities. One example is the Junior Humane Society. This group provides many opportunities to help out with animals. On the other hand, Key Club provides an opportunity to get out into the community and get involved.
If you are a new student, have extra time, or even want to make new friends, you might want to join a club. It could be the best experience of your life.
