Winter break

Winter break is a big deal for most students. For some it means the holiday season, while for others it’s about getting out of school for a whole week. Winter break was a time for students to get a nice break from all the stress of the school year. Unfortunately, before students could sit back and relax, they had to hit the books and study hard for their exams. Luckily exams were spread apart over three days, so no one had to take six large tests in on eight hour day. Although not all students liked having so much time, with nothing to do but sit. “When exams are happening, I don’t like that there is so much free time in-between my tests. Although I very much enjoy winter break, so it makes the exams a little better. During winter break I like to sleep in for as long as I want to, because I no longer have to go to school, and I do not have a job to go to,” said sophomore Emily Shaw.

Christmas was not the only excitement students had during winter break. Some students were excited to stay up late and wait for the New Year to come. “I enjoy New Years, because it allows everyone to start over if they want to,” said Senior Bryce Childers.

One student had a big excitement over winter break that had nothing to do with the holidays. “I’m super excited for my birthday that is over the winter break. I have been counting down the days for the past month, because I am so excited,” said sophomore student Hannah Davis.

Whether winter break was used for vacations or relaxation, it proved to be a very useful time for all students.
