September and October Boy and Girls of the Month

Robert C. Byrd High School recently announced its Boys and Girls of the Month for September and October.

Boy of the Month for September is Kyle Swaim, the son of Jeff and Tammy Swaim of Clarksburg. Throughout high school he has been a member of the Band, Theatre, Raze, SADD the National Honor Society. A member of the Student Council, Kyle is also a participant on the Mayor’s Youth Council.

Kyle plans to attend Fairmont State University to study Accounting.

Girl of the Month for September is Sophia Patsy, the daughter of David and Lesley Patsy of Clarksburg.

Sophia plans to attend WVU in the fall to major in Education. In preparation for her future, she has been very throughout high school as a member of the Student Council, SADD, and the National Honor Society, where she serves as vice-President. Additionally, she has been on the Yearbook Staff, RAZE, co-President; Strings; Congressional Youth Leadership Council and Garden Club.

A delegate to the US Achievement Academy, Sophia also earned the Rotary International Leadership Award.

Boy of the Month for October is Beverly Toothman, daughter of Jason and Sarah Toothman of Nutter Fort.

Throughout high school Beverly has been involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life, SADD, Eagle Cabinet, the Golf /Team, the Basketball Team, the National Honor Society, and the Student Council, where she serves as Student Body President.

Beverly plans to study Biology and Psychology at a NCAA Division II College, where she can also play golf.

Boy of the Month for October is Gage Jackson, the son of Samuel and Barbara Jackson of Clarksburg.

Throughout high school Gage has been an active member of the Interact Club, the Eagle Cabinet, and the Wrestling, Track and Football teams. A two-year member of the National Honor Society, Gage was a delegate to Mountaineer Boys’ State and a participant in the iBelieve Leadership Workshop on two occasions.

Planning to attend WVU next fall, Gage intends to pursue a degree in chemistry.
