Volleyball team serves Bridgeport

The Eagles volleyball team took on Bridgeport on August 6th at Bridgeport High School. The team took it to all five sets, the Eagles taking the victory with a score of 15-11. The Eagles fought and beat the Indians by 7 points. The final score was 25-18. However, the Indians took the lead in the second game with a 6-2 lead. All the girls redeemed themselves and finished the game 25-23. the third game was tough and the Indians won 25-22. The Indians took the fourth set with a score of 25-16. They refused to give and fought for every point and took the win, defeating Bridgeport with a score of 15-11. "We played incredibly well, and I fully believe that the game we played against Bridgeport has been our best played game, hands down. We all played together really well and the game just flowed like clockwork. If we continue this and find that way of playing, I definitely think we can make it big places in the season." explained Hayley Swiger, two year varsity starter, after the Bridgeport game.

Coach Ron Gilmore helped lead the team to victory along with coaches Eric Lough and Gary Abbate. The coaches always had positive things to say after every game.
