Jennifer Cook, a teacher of 20 years, was born and raised in Beckley, West Virginia, with her parents, and two younger sisters. When she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, she went to West Virginia Institute of Technology, but later transferred to Marshall University. She then graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelors Degree in chemistry and math education and Masters Degree in curriculum and instruction. In 1995, she got married to her current husband of 21 years and moved to Clarksburg, West Virginia. Her first substituting job was at Marsh Fork High School in Raleigh County, West Virginia, and her first permanent job was at Lincoln High School in Shinnston, West Virginia. “My favorite subjects to teach is Geometry because I like shapes and chemistry because I enjoy making something complex into something relatable”, she said. She even has more than one favorite memory. “My favorite memories are giving birth to my two children and getting married to my husband”, she said. Her favorite kind of music is rock, but she likes too many Bon Jovi songs to choose a favorite. She has also been to about 8-10 Bon Jovi concerts. She has also been to over 20 concerts in her life.
