The year 2016 has been a year of many deaths. From David Bowie to Prince, many stars have hit the headlines and hit our hearts. Joining the ranks is Gene Wilder, made notable by his lead role as the chocolate factory owner Willy Wonka in the classic, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. While he was a star as Willy Wonka, he also made several other cinema appearances in Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles. He died on August 29th, 2016, at the age of 83 of Alzheimer's Disease. This childhood star will be sorely missed.
